What’s New

Before I launch into blogging about our latest road trip, I thought I’d share a few new things going on around here.

We’ve been talking about doing this since we bought the house, and, finally, this…

We bought our materials and installation from Lowe’s, who sent an installer, who put this up in about eight hours.  The number of people working varied from one to three, and, since it was really hot, the guys took lots of breaks.  However, I still think this went up remarkably quickly.  It certainly gives a whole new look to our backyard.  No more seeing the neighbors’ trampoline and unfenced pool (always nice with a 15-month old).

I like it already.  So do our neighbors.  The only person who doesn’t like it is Charlotte, and even she will tell you it looks pretty good…for a fence.

The next new thing isn’t so much new as an extension of an already learned skill.  Not content to just climb on chairs, Jeremy can now climb all the way up onto the table.  I think he may be trying to change the light bulbs in the bottom two pictures.

I guess it’s a testament to third child syndrome that I took pictures instead of lunging toward him to get him down.

A final note for today…this was a glorious morning for a run.  The temperature was 62 degrees this morning when I started!  I was supposed to run four miles, ended up doing five, and considered going a couple more.  However, I’m still hesitant to be away from the house that long in the mornings.

Of course, temps will be back up in the nineties by tomorrow or Saturday, but I’ll take what we got today.

Happy Thursday!
